Carri Taylor

Executive Director and Co-Founder of Opportunities Unlimited, Carri is a Certified Communication Skills Trainer (since 1993) and Executive/Personal Coach (since 1995).

Carri was Vice President and Co-Owner of NEW LIBERTY ENTERPRISES, Inc., Burbank, CA from 1979 to 1981. She served as President and sole-owner from 1981 to 1991. During that time she was the General Partner for seven film Limited Partnerships. Previous to that she served as Chief Financial Officer for two non-profit corporations. Carri currently serves on the Leadership Team for AMFM (Assoc. for Marriage and Family Ministry).

Carri spent 10 years (1978 to 1988) as a Film Producer, Director and Editor of award-winning documentaries. In June of 2003, Carri released an eight-part Video/DVD Series on “Designing Dynamic Stepfamilies: Bringing the Pieces to Peace” for those in or involved with stepfamilies in a personal or professional capacity. www.DesigningDynamicStepfamilies.com.

As a public speaker, she communicates with clarity and humor. She illustrates insights with personal transparency. Singing publicly since age 10, she has performed at nationally recognized events and on television. Carri also produced, directed and arranged music for four professional musical groups.

Carri has been married to Gordon Taylor since 1986. He is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of California. A second marriage for both of them; Gordon brought three sons to the marriage and Carri brought two daughters. They have ten grandchildren and are legal guardians of Carri's oldest granddaughter, born in 1990, who has been with them since birth.

The Taylors have been involved in starting, leading, and maintaining stepfamily groups since 1988. They speak nationally on stepfamily development and other relational topics.

The Taylors have attended the First Evangelical Free Church in Fullerton, CA, since 1987. They conduct the “Remarriage Preparation Workshop,” lead two sessions in the “Divorce Recovery Workshop,” and speak on “Divorce and Stepfamilies” in the Lay Counseling Training Program. Carri also conducts the “Conflict Resolution” session in the “Love for Life” marriage preparation workshop.

Carri’s mission is to provide skills, tools and insights in order to expand an individual’s perspective of self, others, relationships, and God. To encourage individuals to uncover, unleash and strengthen the work of art God created in them.
